At the moment on my MSI Z170A PC Mate motherboard I have two 4gb sticks of ram, I notice there are two more slots that look the same. I understand I can put 2 more sticks of ram onto my motherboard. What I am not sure of us what else I am able to do. I notice 3 more open slots under what I think is my CPU or GPU , an Intel i5-6600k. One slot is bigger than the other 2 slots. Im just wondering what o can do with these. Are they slots for a GPU, a hard drive? I don't know much about how computers are built. Whatever they are for, I'm able to put 3 more onto my motherboard? Or is the bigger one for something different than what the smaller ones are for? Also, am I able to put more than one hard drive into my computer? If I could o would like to get an SSD to go alongside my 2tb HDD. I do realize I could look this stuff up but all that stuff really confuses me lmao. Here are my motherboards specs: Expansion Slots: 1 x CPU 4 x DIMM 288-pin 2 x PCIe 3.0 x16 3 x PCIe 3.0 x1 2 x PCI I realized the 1 x CPU is my CPU and I can only have one. I realize the 4x DIMM 288-pin is the ram, and I can have 4, but what does the rest mean?
Storage interfaces: SATA-600 / PCIe 3.0 -connectors: 6 x 7pin SATA, 1 x M.2, 1 x SATA Express port - RAID 0 / RAID 1 / RAID 10 / RAID 5 what do these mean? I know sata has something to do with a hard drive. Am I able to put more than one drive in my pc at a time? If so, how many?
