Hi, I've been getting some feedback from agents and publishers that a first-time author can't (and shouldn't be able to) get a first book published that's over 100K words, even in the epic fantasy genre. What do you think about that? I wrote a blog about the subject titled "Saving Epic Fantasy Books 200,000+ Words at a Time: Big Publishing’s Attempt to Stifle the World’s Most Popular Genre.
