Technik » Display goes black while playing games

Hi,

Ive been having a problem recently with my pc (custom build). It seems that whenever i use vlc media player or play games, the screen will go black and i have to wake it up then put my password in. It is basically as if its going to sleep by itself. My drivers are updated and my refresh rate is right. The only thing i can think of is that i have an oldish monitor that i have used for many years (Acer G246HL). Can anyone help me?

Please help.
