LONDON, Ont. - Guelph Storm defenceman Chadd Bauman has been suspended for the rest of the MasterCard Memorial Cup for delivering a knee-on-knee hit on Val-dOr Foreurs defenceman Guillaume Gelinas in a game last Monday. Gelinas participated in the teams warmup Tuesday night but did not play in a 4-3 double-overtime win over the Edmonton Oil Kings. He was the highest-scoring defenceman in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this past season with 23 goals and 69 assists in 67 games. The Storm were to play the host London Knights on Wednesday night in the final round-robin game. The playoff round begins Thursday and the championship game is set for Sunday.
